A new tourist spot was born in Higashihama.

I was asked to design it last year, and I spent about a year and a few months… building a building that was suitable for this land.

It was a very intense time that was both enjoyable and painful at the same time.

What is a building that is truly suitable for this land? It was a good opportunity to reconsider the meaning of building a building, and it is my first work since turning 50.

I asked myself what kind of building would be loved by the local people and loved for a long time.

The construction was completed while asking myself this question.

The first customers came to the store before completion. It was a pair of swallows.
