弊社、代表取締役チーフデザイナーの荒木智宏が設計デザインした作品が
イタリアで開催されている世界最大のデザインアワード『A’ Design Award & Competition 2026』
においてブロンズ賞を受賞いたしました。
この度、入賞した『クガミテラス Sunset cafe ＆Small Gallery』は、
海辺に建築された”常設海の家”プロジェクトとなります。

イタリアで設立された国際的なデザインアワード。
毎年イタリアで開催される世界最大のデザインコンペティションであるA’ Design Award & Competition（エーダッシュデザインアワード＆コンペティション)は、優れたデザイナー、デザインコンセプト、プロダクト、サービスを表彰する世界最大級のコンペティション。約100か国のデザイナーが参加しており、50を超える言語で応募を呼びかけている。

『作品の概要』
クガミテラス Sunset café and Small gallery は、日本海に面した鳥取県岩美町の海岸線に建つ、カフェとギャラリーを併設した複合施設である。
本計画は「風景そのものを建築に取り込む」ことを主題とし、周囲の自然環境と呼応する空間構成を目指した。
大きく張り出した軒と連続する開口部により、刻々と変化する光や海の表情を室内へと引き込み、建築の内部と外部の境界を曖昧にしている。
昼間は全面開口から広がる海景が視界を占め、夕刻には水平線へ沈む光と内部の照明が呼応することで、風景と建築が一体となる体験を生み出す。
また、施設内には地域の文化や創作活動を発信するギャラリー機能を併設し、単なる飲食施設にとどまらず、地域の魅力を伝える場として機能する。
本プロジェクトは、風景・建築・文化を統合し、地域に根ざした建築の新たな可能性を提示するものである。
Kugami Terrace Sunset Café and Small Gallery is a complex facility combining a café and gallery, located on the coastline of Iwami Town, Tottori Prefecture, facing the Sea of Japan.
This project focused on “incorporating the landscape itself into the architecture,” aiming for a spatial composition that resonates with the surrounding natural environment.
The large overhanging eaves and continuous openings draw the ever-changing light and expressions of the sea into the interior, blurring the boundary between the building’s interior and exterior.
During the day, the expansive seascape from the large openings dominates the view, while in the evening, the light sinking below the horizon and the interior lighting resonate, creating an experience where landscape and architecture become one.
Furthermore, the facility includes a gallery function that showcases local culture and creative activities, functioning not merely as a restaurant but as a place to convey the charm of the region.
This project integrates landscape, architecture, and culture, presenting new possibilities for architecture rooted in the local community.

今年度も国際アワードに応募しましたが、3年連続の国際賞の入賞は大変嬉しく思います。日本人の独特な建築の世界感を評価頂きましたこと、弊社チーフデザイナー荒木の感性が世界的に評価されたことが、弊社としても大変喜ばしく思います。今後も鳥取の建築界発展の為、このような国際アワードに積極的に挑戦していきたいと考えております。
